Rob Harris, Jr believes that the gospel has become "distorted" due to its dilution to appease different denominations and the personal messages of today's orators. He desire to discern to true meaning of the gospel and spread it worldwide to all who will listen. As Senior Pastor, he desires to contribute his 35 years of public service management experience to the church.
Rob has been involved in the church since around 22, during his military service. He has been a minister for the past 24 years. With an inclination to teaching, he assisted his wife Rosalind with the completion of a Christianity 101 Bible study guide, as well as serving as a bass musician for many years.
As his tenure as an engineer with the County of Ventura comes to an end via retirement, he looks forward to spending more time with God's word and the spreading of the Gospel.
Rosalind (Roz) Harris is a licensed Evangelist and acts as the Assistant Pastor for the church. She believes in the one true God who sent his Son to live and die on the cross and to be the forgiver of all our sins. This is the gospel and is the basis of our Christian walk. This is synonymous with our church doctrine as we strive to teach and preach the basic Word of God.
Roz, who has a passion for writing, singing, recording, and playing gospel music, has over 58 years of Church experience as a Minister Musician, Administrator, Praise Team Leader, and Bible School Teacher. She started at the age of 3. She also formed the gospel group, The Faith Few, produced several recordings, and was featured as part of several radio and television ministries. Roz has also authored several books.
Currently retired, she spent 35 years in public service as a Naval Officer in the Civil Engineers Corps, and as the Facility and Security Manager for the County of Ventura. She has a BS in Petroleum Engineering from USC and a Masters degree in Acquisitions and Contracts from West Coast University.
Doug McCrory believes that God extends his grace to us continuously and the evidence of this is that he sent his only son to redeem us. He prepares himself for whatever may come and to rise to the standards and maintain those that God has set for him as he continues to study, pray and preach the word of God.
Doug is an ordained minister and acts as the church’s Financial Auditor and has been a follower of Christ for over 60 years.
A talented mechanic, first as an Air Force jet mechanic and then for companies like Laidlaw and Sysco Foods, he is now enjoying his retirement (part time) and spending time with his wife Judene traveling all over with their camper.
Judene McCrory has a passion for children, animals, and gardening. Her goal is to continue her education in the Holy Bible as she believes in the one true God who sent his Son to live and die on the cross and to be the forgiver of all our sins. An excellent organizer, Judene is our Outreach Coordinator as well as presiding over Holy Communion.
Judene has been a Christian for over 30 years and spends countless hours studying with her husband Doug. Her love for children has translated into her job as she has been a bus driver for 38 years, as well as working at daycare in the past.
Gloria Houston appreciates the Lord’s loving kindness and all his provisions for us. Matthew 17:20 says that if we have faith like a grain of a mustard seed nothing is impossible. Her life passions have also been to help others. Although not always in the position to help others, when she was able to, she learned that she could help in ways that weren’t always monetary, which brought her immense pleasure.
Gloria is the church's Administrator and assists in the administrative capacity to make sure that materials are provided for, what is needed is ordered and available, and to provide any printing requests necessary to further God’s kingdom. has been exposed to religion my entire life, but following her mom's passing, she fell away. Upon starting her own family, she wanted to share the Lord with them. As demands grew, so did her time but Gloria later returned and remained steadfast to my commitment since I came back to the Lord.
